It has been an exciting term in Forest School! Year 5 and 6 has revisited fire lighting and worked in teams to maintain a good fire. They learnt about the dangers of leaving rubbish, the impact on the environment and how it harms wildlife. Year 1 and 2 have looked at the local wildlife and what they need to survive.

Year 1 and 2 children have had a very busy half term with a number of exciting activities. From a dress up day linked to their work on fairy tales to a visit to Chloe's farm to see the calves. The children have found out about animals in the local area and what they need to survive and what healthy foods look like.

UK Chess Challenge 2017

The UK Chess Challenge has finally come to an end; although some of the children would like it to continue. Thirty two children took part, of which seven qualified, outright, with the pre-requisite number of points to the Giga-final in May. A further four children qualified as either the best boy or girl in their age range.
