Sports Day 2017

On a bright Wednesday afternoon in June the 5th edition of Sports Day took place. At Burton Hathow we try to make sports day as professional as possible. The children competed in 5 events: 75m, 150m, Long Distance, Shot Put and Long Jump. After many lessons of practice the children we ready to show what they had learnt and how much they had improved. Heats were fiercely contested by every child. The field events offer the children a different challenge. Many different students shone on the day which was excellent to see. The day finishes with the finals of each event. The atmosphere in the crowd was electric. Many close finishes, including the first ‘draw’ were enjoyed by the spectators.

BH Summer Fete 2017

This year's summer fete was the hottest fete any of us had ever experienced. Everyone had a great time: from orbiting teachers into space, pony rides, bouncy slides to tasting the amazing milkshakes designed and branded by year four.

Oh! I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Year 1 and 2 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Anderby Creek as part of their history topic. It was a fantastic fun day filled with lots of laughter, sand castles, art, games, paddling and of course ice cream!

Tennis Success in First Tournament

Burton Hathow also had a first this term. The first official tennis match against Highfields. Luca, Will V, Lewis, Jack and Archie represented the school fantastically, winning the game 12-4.
