Year 5 took a trip to the North Lincolnshire coast to Donna Nook on a chilly Friday at the end of November. The children had time to walk along the coastal path and observe and sketch the seals and pups.

Competition Winner Adam!

The Usher Art gallery held a competition this term for children in the age category 5 -16 years to design a flag in the style of Louisa Chambers. Louisa Chambers is a Nottingham based artist and her flag designs are inspired by the lines and shapes of the gallery’s facade. We are delighted that Adam in Year 5 has won this competition and his design has now gone into production.

ISA National Award Winners!

We only went and won! We're proud winners of the National ISA award for "Excellence in the Performing Arts 2017". We were awarded this amazing accolade on Friday night, and we're still absolutely thrilled. We even came runner up in the "Outstanding Sport" category too.

Shakespeare For Schools Festival

Is this year 5 and 6 I see before me? All the pupils were fabulous and performed on the evening with a real understanding of the complex themes and conflicts that makes Macbeth one of Shakespeare’s most exciting tragic plays. The focus and commitment throughout the rehearsal process was testament to the fact that they were determined to be the best that they could be, and, with such a short time frame, they delivered convincing characters with all the technical intricacies that comes with working live on stage. A huge well done to Adam Flinders who worked behind the scenes on lighting and sound.
