Carol Singing at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Members of the Upper School Choir drew a tear or two from the residents of Tennyson Wharf Care Home yesterday with their beautifully delivered medley of traditional and modern carols. It was such a honour for the school to perform to this special audience.

From the Owls…

From Fetes, to pantomimes, to discos - this half term has been very busy with Owl events. (The school's PTA, not a group of magical owls living in our woods). The Christmas Fete on the 1st of December brought together all the pupils, staff and parents to start off the festive period with this fantastic event. With games, tombolas, raffles, amazing stalls, food and drink along with our special guest Farther Christmas, who opened the fete and saw all the children whilst listening to their thoughtful requests for Christmas.

From Year 1 and 2…

Children in Year 1 and Year 2 have really enjoyed their topic of Toys this term. As part of the topic we invited grandparents in to share their childhood games with children, and we would like to say a big thank you to all our visitors. The children enjoyed it so much and it was lovely to listen to people sharing their memories, we learnt a lot!! We had a great time when we visited the Lincolnshire Life Museum, and looked at how toys have changed over the last 150 years. Congratulations to both Year 1 and 2, who were an absolute credit to Burton Hathow.
