Schools Big Bird Watch

On a cold, and at times wet, Wednesday, all the children in years 1 to 6 took part in the annual bird watch around Burton Hathow grounds and locality. Each child enjoyed the experience and each form saw some species that other forms were unlucky enough to miss. All children therefore contributed to the schools total number of species; 23 this year.

The 27th of January saw the School's 5th Anniversary Ball. It was a great night in the marvellous setting of Doddington Hall, photo boards displaying the school across the 5 years so far greeted all in attendance. We ate superb food and birthday cake, played roots and shoots, entered the raffle and bid on the silent auction with the top prize of a VIP Red Arrows experience!. Then partook in a group dance lesson and ended the night dancing to the disco, which all helped to create a record breaking night in terms of smiles, attendance and monies raised for the school.

Eggsellent News!

In May 2017, year 1 and 2 successfully incubated 4 eggs, thanks to Mrs Meeson (eggs) and Mrs Popplewell (incubator). The four healthy chicks hatched on Ellie-Eve’s birthday, and Burton Hathow children, under the guidance of Mrs Williams, have cared for and nurtured them over the winter.
