From Year 1 and 2…

The first half of the autumn term has seen Year 1 and 2 settling in to their new classrooms and their new routines. Children have worked incredibly hard in Maths and English, writing and performing poems. Year 1’s have been inspired to write a book! To support our work on bodies, we have looked at what makes a balanced diet (making our own soup and baked apples on the fire), created skeletons using sticks and stones in the forest, and also in a classroom setting.

The new school year brought a new look U11 girls hockey team. With many key players moving on, Mr Bell was predicting a competitive hockey season ahead. The new year 6 girls of Anna Bergens, Ruby Carter and Rachel Quarton have stepped up fantastically to lead the team to several good wins.
