It has been a brilliant start to the term from all boys and girls who have been involved, not only in fixtures but in lessons as well with an excellent effort from everyone. The first fixture of the year saw the U8s and U9s win their opening game against Wellow House. The U8s winning 4-3 and the U9s winning 6-4. A massive well done to all the boys taking part. The U11 side opened up with a brilliant victory against Highfield's in their first game of the year winning 36-0. Some excellent spells of rugby and some big performances from Jack  and Flynn. Our next fixture was a mixed game of rugby with all  the boys and girls from year 3 and 4 playing. We drew the fixture 5-5 with Orchard School. U11s then travelled to Westbourne school where the boys competed in a triangular tournament. The boys played some good rugby. Well done to everyone and keep up the hard work.

This year we will be hosting alot more mixed fixtures in a variety of sports.  We started with an U11 mixed hockey fixture away at Highfield's. The game was played at a frantic pace with lots of good skills on show. Becca had her best game for BH in goal. The game ended 5-4 to us. William scoring 4 and Isobel scoring 1.

Next up was the annual Wellow Cross Country Race. With 6 schools attending in 4 races. The race of the day was the U9 boys and George was victorious. Also Sebastian ( who is an U8 ) came 3rd in the same race.  Mr Bell was very happy with the cross country team. Difficult weather and a long course didn’t phase our children.

The girls U9 and U11 attended a hockey workshop at Wellow. Training and playing games with another school was great for the girls' development. This has become a regular and successful fixture in our calendar. The U10 mixed team visited Orchard for a match. An evenly contested game by both schools. Orchard came out on top 5-3. Freddie scored 2 goals in his first hockey match for BH.
The U11 went back to Orchard a week later and came away with a 9-2 victory. An excellent first half display gave the game to us. In the 2nd half we reshuffled our team allowing many players a chance to play in a different position.

We hosted our first Parent and Child Running club this term. A fantastic turn out and the run ran at a good pace. Bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee after the run to refuel. The next Parent/ Child run is on 30th November. We aim to double the amount of participants!
