Party in the Park 2019

With the sun shining, this year's BH Party in the Park was again another triumph. With wonderful performances from our Year 3 Orchestra, the Upper School Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Band and some particularly spine tingling solos, the children did us proud.

From Years 1 & 2

Year 1 have been looking at traditional tales and have enjoyed, role play, story maps and retelling along with a super creative set of photos for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff to help them adapt their own stories. They have made nests to go with topic work in forest school.

Intergenerational Project Continues…

The children in year 1 had their last visit to Tennyson Wharf with flowers and smiles all round. The children have visited regularly with lots of fun activites for the children and residents to complete together. From shared reading, planting sun flower seeds, maths games and memory games, which have helped young and old to develop. The children and residents hace enjoyed completing craft activities together. Year 1 also took our ducklings to visit the residents at Tennyson Wharf and even Sky, our school dog, has paid a visit. The residents have also joined us for the Year 1 and 2 play.

From EYFS…

The highlight of this half of the term has to be the EYFS Sports Day. It is a welcome opportunity for all of our EYFS children to be altogether and share some wonderful moments. The children did not cease to amaze us with their running ability, their skills of following instructions and their fabulous participation and determination.

Red 10 Assembly

It was an abosulte pleasure to welcome Mr Collins, Red 10, to assembly to give us an insight into the work of the Red Arrows and life as a Red Arrow pilot. The children will remember the assembly forever! Mr Keen thoroughly enjoyed putting on all the Red Arrow gear!
