From Year 2…

During the Summer Term the whole of Year 2 rose to the challenge of remote learning from home during lockdown. We stuck to our timetable and really enjoyed ‘being together’ remotely, and as a class we journeyed through lockdown together and grew sunflowers, butterflies and watched toads and ducklings growing, sharing our daily experiences with our classmates which helped us to feel connected to our BH family. We enjoyed reading and sharing stories, including those by author Anthony Brown, together which helped us to talk about any worries that we had, whilst expanding our knowledge of writing techniques and character profiles.

Year 3 and 4 Project Theme Park

Year 3 & 4 worked under the guidance of Fantasy Island's Operation Director, to create their very own theme park: 'Luxury Land'. They had a set budget under which they had to landscape the park, provide facilities, integrate rides and attractions and make sure that the visitors had plenty of refreshments.

From Early Years…

We would firstly like to say a huge well done and thank you to all our wonderful children who have and continue to make us very proud in the way in which they have settled back into nursery. They have all showed superb resilience in the way that they have picked up where they left off and slotted back into the new 'normal' and slightly different daily routine with ease. We have focused our development around the children's interests specifically mini-beasts, dinosaurs and mark-making.

Burtonfest2020 #Lockdownleavers

We have had a wonderful year 6 group this year and it has been a very special time having them back at school after lockdown. I would like to praise them all, for thinking outside the box, for being creative in how we can celebrate with the pandemic restrictions and above all being a year group that we can be proud of.
