Well done to all the year 3 boys and girls involved in the hockey fixtures and training so far this term. It has been a step up from year 2 as they have had matches against local schools. The girls and boys have performed well and have had success in playing well. In hockey fixtures and training, the children have increased their knowledge and understanding of the sport. We look forward to seeing all the pupils after half term to continue their learning and improve their skills even more, but most importantly enjoying playing and learning.
All BH boys and girls have been involved in rugby training and matches this half term and have all made big improvements and have continued to work extremely hard. The U11 boys team have had a steady start to the term winning against Orchard House 40-10 in a triangular, which also saw us lose a very tight game against Westbourne 40-30. Our next fixture the U9's hosted Highfields, this consisted of two teams one A Team and one B Team. Both teams played some good rugby at times but unfortunately we were not consistent enough to win either game. The U11's were next to face Highfields, again the boys played well at times with Harry Douch being a standout performer with a fantastic game. However, we ended up loosing the game 30-15. The highlight of the term so far has been the U9 A and B performance away at St Hughs. In awful conditions both teams were brilliant in both attack and defence and passed the ball fantastically well in such wet conditions. The A Team ran out 35-25 winners and the B Team wining a very tight game 35-30. Very well done again to everyone involved so far!
