A change of sports this term for the Burton Hathow Pupils. Netball, football and a little hockey are the current challenges. The U9 and U11 football season started successfully with games vs St Hugh's. Both teams coming away with victories. The Netball teams enjoyed some extra coaching at St Hugh's improving their positional play. Later in the term, Orchard attended BH for a football and netball training session. Both U9 groups enjoyed learning together.  The following week the U11 netball played a triangular with Orchard and Westbourne. Excellent endeavour shown by our girls against some difficult teams.
A highlight of ther term was when the U11 football teams toured to Sheffield for an 8 team tournament at Westbourne. The A team came 2nd winning 6 and losing 1 and the B team finished 4th winning 4, losing 2 and drawing 1.
The U9 hockey team headed to Worksop to play Ranby and Hillhouse. Our U9s are developing into a strong age group at BH, understanding tactic as well as technique.
3 draws and 1 loss on the day.
The U11 football team made the short trip to Lincoln Minster to play their U11 and Wellow. A closely fought game against LMS ended with a defeat for our boys, who were a credit to our school. The game against Wellow resulted in BH winning comfortably including 3 debut goals for Lydia.
The U11 boys hockey team played against Ranby at Worksop College. The boys gave a great representation of themselves against a strong opponent. Ranby finishing winners but some great saves by Aiden kept the score respectful. The final match day of the term was a  very busy day at Burton Hathow. The U11 netball team played against Wellow and the U9 A and B football played against St Hugh's.  A great day of sport enjoyed by all at BH!
Thank you to Mrs Ford and Mr Hardcastle for stepping into support the PE department this term.
